Job-Specific Insights VDOT Richmond District Location & Design Team is looking for designers with civil engineering interests to serve as a part-time Senior Engineering Technician to develop and design hydraulic models and drainage design elements of right of way and construction roadway plans and compile plan sets. Applicants should be highly skilled in the use of computers and software applications to include MS Office, CADD, and other non-CADD applications. Candidates will file project related correspondence, CADD files and project information; prepare hydraulic calculations, analyses and reports; and assist in managing projects and completing engineering tasks. This is an hourly/wage position which is not entitled to state benefits and works on average about 29 hours a week and no more than 1500 hours in a 12-month period.
