Job-Specific Insights We’re seeking a skilled Structural/Bridge Engineer to support transportation projects in the Bristol, Virginia area. This role involves the design, analysis, and detailing of concrete and steel structures and bridges for new construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects in accordance with AASHTO specifications.
The ideal candidate will perform structural calculations, prepare plans, quantities, and technical reports, and provide construction support throughout project delivery. This position also works closely with VDOT staff, local governments, consultants, citizens, and FHWA to support transportation programs and infrastructure improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical design work and collaborative project involvement while making a direct impact on regional transportation infrastructure for the Bristol District.
